You figure Bart has been in the fourth grade for almost 25 years. Perhaps he'll make middle school before they kill the show..?

I think the actors should take the pay cut ... They are making $8 million a year for voice work. I believe they can handle a 45% pay cut if they want the show to continue. If they are too greedy, then happy retirement.

Would it really be a bad thing? The Simpsons is well past it's glory days. I can't remember the last time I laughed more than twice in an episode.

Hasn't this issue come up in the past?

It has. This actually happens when any animated show comes back up for renewal. The producers will say the show is going to get cancelled because of the voice actors salaries or that they are going to replace the actors. Then all of a sudden the show is back on and a the contract is signed.

And to prove this point news comes from the LA times that a deal has been signed to keep the Simpsons on the air for at least 2 more seasons.

i say they should end the show on season 25, or 500 episodes. i would have liked for it to end years ago, because season 8 was the last classic season. anything after that has been bumpy. a few good episodes, but many MANY bad ones.

Proof that Bart Simpson has grown up over the years....and he's in touch with his feminen side. If he loses his contract, he might join the cast of Sponge Bob.

The actors do well but get paid a lot less than actors for other tv shows. If the producers want to cut the actors pay , give them a cut of the much more lucrative DVD and merchandise sales. Something the actors do not have now
