ABC Studios announced today that they are developing a potential series based on the ride. No details have been released but a producer and writer are attached to the project.

I would think alot depends on who is acting in it. I feel that is why Haunted Mansion (with Eddie Murphy) didn't make it.
The above is JUST my opinion...that is all.
I look forward to seeing what comes of this Thunder Mtn news!
