Has anyone seen any of the previews for Slacker Cats that have been on ABC Family? I saw some when I was watching Greek finally and it looks like it's going to be funny! Have they ever had an animated series on that channel before? I don't think they have.

Visually it kind of reminds me of some of the stuff that's on Adult Swim. Anyone know anything about it?

    Re: Slacker Cats

Well I only watch ABC Family to see re-runs of older shows because like most cable channels, that's all they're good for. I think this is just an attempt to catch an older audience with a more adult type of humor but I don't think it will work, since their other shows would have been canceled already if it was on basic tv.

Now, I'll turn that little mouse's dream into a nightmare Fantasmic!

Well, I like a lot of ABC Family's shows - Kyle XY, for example, is awesome television. They've come out with a lot of good stuff over the past year or so, and I like the direction that they are going, with a little bit more of a something for everyone kind of schedule. I'll be checking this out because they've got a really good track record in my book.

Also, 'cause I read Sinbad is doing one of the voices, and I can't help myself, I just love him.

IMO, the only decent thing on their schedule is Gilmore Girls re-runs. Once they cancel those, ABC Family will no longer hold anything to me.
I gave some of their other shows 1/2 hour try and found it stupid and revolting for a channel that says it's family-oriented, no matter the time of day.
Press today is so concerned with cool vs. not cool that they're starting to forget good vs. bad. I'm not sure I'll ever be "cool", but I will always tirelessly strive to be "great". - Josh Groban

Disney is contractually-obligated to say that the channel is "family-oriented". The network was founded by Pat Robertson as "The Family Channel", and its name has to, in perpetuity, contain the word, "family".

Disney would love to get rid of that word because the target demographic for the network considers "family" to have negative connotations.

          Thank you, again, Michael Eisner.

I saw some previews for the show, and it looks mildly interesting, but when it premieres, I'll give it a try.
