I am so glad I recorded it because I know I'll want to watch it again. Same with the Robot Chicken one.

There is no right or wrong in this debate. It is simply a matter of perspective.

Just watched it off our DVR. Hilarious! Favorite part was when Luke/Chris hacked off Danny Elfman's head (really don't like the annoying music of Simpsons/Desperate Housewives). Also loved the Dirty Dancing bit.

Finally got to watch the show tonight.. ran out of time last night.

OMG.. hysterical. The little things like the elevator music and 'aren't you a little fat to be a stormtrooper?' had me rolling.

I loved this episode. It was done so brilliantly!
                Spoiler
Loved it when Cleveland (R2-D2) reaches out of the Milenium Falcon busts a cup of caps at the Tie Fighter or when Peter(Han Solo) throws a bone into the garbage compactor and Brian dives in for it barking.

My absolute favorites were the Airplane "quotes." Nothing beats that!

I kinda wish they'd done an Imogen Heap Hide and Seek reference when "Obi Wan" was decapitated... That would have made my life so happy

I think that might have been the best epsiode of Family Guy ever.

Re: Family Guy Season 6 Discussion

DVRed it and watched it yesterday.

I was surprised. Most satires and parodies would speed up the pace. Family Guy kept the pacing of the films -- very odd thing to do. And proves that we could get the story in less than an hour and not really lose much. Unfortunately.

Haven't you seen those various spoofs that do the whole movie in like 90 seconds, etc?

Besides.. its a moot point. The reason they can do that is because everyone already knows the story

Thanks, Oogie, for posting the links to the clips, I'm glad I got to watch it again.

What also makes this special is that they really packed it full of great lines--so it's the sort of thing, like Police Squad!, that you have to watch over and over to get all the bits.

"They're boarding us from the rear! And not in the take in a deep breath kind of way!"

And did anyone catch "Prisoner transfer from cellblock 1138?"

I think that's a line from the original.

                                Chris' response is hilarious.
