        Re: How about HGTV shows?

I have tried to hard to watch Knitty Gritty. But here's the thing I don't want to be told what's "hip" and "cool" to knit. I want all those questions I have answered, why a ssk/slip slip knit not a k2tog/knit two together decrease? What's the point of a YO not a bind off, cast on button hole? And being force fed poncho and iPod cases... not cool. Knitting isn't a fad/trend, the new yoga, or a feminist movement. I knit because I love textile art, it's practical, it's relaxing, I love knitting circles (I am a knitting circle whore.), and my mother knits, my dad's mom knit (she can't knit now she says her eyes are too bad), her mother knit... it's part of my heritage to knit. Sorry rant over. I hate a lot of what that show represents.

I watch "Decorating Cents" because I am cheap and like clever ideas.

              Re: How about HGTV shows?

I'm always watching this channel. My favorite is House Hunters. I always get so annoyed when people choose to buy the house they didn't love at first, etc instead of going with the house that is alll ready to move in and everything. I also enjoy watching Design to Sell, and I Want That! (all of them).

There are quite a few other shows on this channel that I watch but I just don't remember the names. I did watch Design Star, most of it anyway. It was alright. It was nice to see Vern from Trading Spaces.

The only thing I watch (and LOVE) on HGTV is Living with Ed! That show is entertaining, and I love learning new things about how to live a more eco-friendly life. Did you know that they don't recycle bottles with the cap still on??!
