I loved this show. My roommates and I used to borrow a video projector at the start of each season and at the end of each season with huge parties. Seriously,I did not want this show to end.

And to think those ears arouse him in the show.

This would probably be a good time for me to finish my Fan Fic comic on Star Trek:TNG. I only started the durn thing three years ago. Doh!

But yeah, I remember people saying that this would never replace the original. Well, it wasn't supposed to. It was supposed to supplement the original, as were all the others. Everyone has a favorite Trek at this point, but for each one, there was something special about them that made them unique. This is one that will always hold a special place in Trek fans hearts.

Oh, don't let the name fool you. I've always been a hard core Trek fan. I had a friend who used to always tell me to Live Long and Proper, to which I would reply, Die Young and Penniless. Good times.

Strictly speaking, yes. Although Armin Shimerman (Quark) was among the first group of Ferengis we ever saw in their premier on TNG. He played Letek. Just change the name tag.

It's unbelievable that this show premiered 20 years ago. I loved it then and am still enjoying it (with my kids) in re-runs.

Good stories, good acting and great effects has proven the show's lasting power. It has held up pretty darn well over the years.

                    20 years? Wow...

My roomate had these huge Polk Audio speakers and we hooked it up to the TV for (primitive) stereo sound. But these speakers rocked! I remember watching TNG and hearing the rumbling sounds of the Enterprise in the background throughout the entire show!

My goodness, 20 years already. Whew. I still remember seeing the show in its first-run. Didn't quite get into its stride until the 3rd season, but oh man, after that it was really superb television.

Anyone else reading the new line of TNG Books? After waiting bloody ages, Resistance has finally come out on ebook and I'm reading it. Buried Age came out a couple of months ago and details how Picard came to be Captain of the Enterprise and there's also a Q&A book and a TNG/SCE tie in book just out.

Wow, I can't believe it's been 20 years. Remember those awful sweaters Wesley used to wear? Riker was hot back then too.

I loved TNG.... maybe you could tell by my name?

I too still have all the action figures in the packaging. How geek-girl can you get?
I even have at the rare Dr Beverly Picard.

It really was great TV. At Northern Ren Faire one guild would bring a TV and VCR and do late night STTNG marathons in Blackpoint forest near the Center of the Universe. Good and high ol' times .

Also there used to be a "Landing Party" that would show up every year in costume - not pro's just people who looked remarkably like Picard, Troi, Riker, even their Data was amazing.

and Patrick Stewart was so flippin' hot. Still not too bad for 67.
(and realizes i am may actually be getting old........)
