  • Anybody remember the Mouse Factory?

    Hello.

I was wondering if anybody remembers from the early 70's a Disney TV series called the Mouse Factory? It was either on NBC or ABC. I think it was similar to the Wonderful World of Disney but all I remember is the opening sequence which was an animated and featured Mickey and the rest of the major characters.

Anyone remember this or is my mind playing tricks on me?

    Sorry DisIP.

Early 70's I was pretty young. Check IMDB.com. They have pretty much everything ever on TV.

      Sure, I remember it well.

Created and Directed by wild and wacky Disney Legend, Ward Kimball.

They were a strange mix of almost old-time vaudeville and trying to be 1970's "hip." They might be rather painful to sit through today. But then again they could be sorta fun retro things. I've got some on off-air VHS tapes of it somewhere. If I come across one, I'll watch it and report back on how I think it holds up.

I totally remember this show. The theme song was 'Minnies Yoo Hoo' played at 78 speed.
        Growing older is manditory
        Growing up is however, optional

Sure I remember it. Mickey meets Laugh In. Always had a guest host, like Cosby, or Wally Cox. I think somewhere they issued a dvd with a couple of shows... I am too lazy to check...

The Mouse Factory was a syndicated half hour series that ran in the mid-70s. A lot of comic shtick interspersed with clips from Disney movies and TV shows and from DL and WDW. There was a different host each week--Ken Berry and Charles Nelson Reilly come to mind. I also remember Phyllis Diller hosting a Haunted Mansion-themed episode. Fun stuff.

              Thanks all...

The memories are coming back. Especially the part where they used to have clips from old Disney films.

I remember as a kid looking at Disney shows and how they would take clips from all their old movies to tell a totally new story. I remember thinking that this was the norm and not the exception. But as I am older I think that a lot of this must have come from watching this show...

              Thanks!

I remember when the Disney Channel showed the re-runs when I was a kid. A great show. I miss it.

I remember it! They used to show episodes on Disney Channel (during Vault Disney). I remember the episodes hosted by Ken Berry and the guy who played Goober on Andy Griffith.
