  • How many episodes are left to air of your favorite show? (as of 11/30)

This chart has been posted on TV guide showing how many episodes each series has left to air due to the writers' strike. This is as of Friday 11/30.

UPDATED 11/30/07] There seems to be little doubt that the writers' strike will result in a shorter TV season, but just how short are we talking? Thanks for that list! I am glad they do have 8 episodes of Lost done, which means we will get some in February!

Hopefully the strike ends soon, so we get more of our shows!

I have a few that will end by the end of the year - looks like I might be watching some shows I never watched or Netflix will be busy!

They didn't list the only 2 shows I watch.... How I Met Your Mother & Two and a Half Men. I also have no idea about my soap that airs every weekday.

I know 24 is outright delayed due to the strike. NOT happy about that. Been waiting almost 6 months already for a new season, now this.

              Such small numbers
              Good morning, son
              In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
              It was pain
              Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

                Two of my favorites too.

And what is the news on the soaps? How many episodes left for them??

At least Men in Trees has a lot to go.

From what I have understood most of the soaps have storylines to last until the end of the year, some longer. However, they regularly rewrite storylines. So for the time being that will be the major impact.

Well, look at it this way. The strike can give you a chance to catch up on shows that you may have missed. If the networks are smart, they will just start the seasons from the beginning and replay them in order to get more people interested. Instead of skipping around, etc.

Probably not for a while, it seems the Disney Channel shows write and produce a boatload before they even start airing a single one. And they usually hold a couple back for a long time.

That would be a very smart thing to do. I see that House is showing repeats right now that go back to last season. Maybe they will start over in January when their final episodes air. Desperate Housewives has started over from the beginning of this season.

They said soap writers may cross picket lines.

From what I understand, last night's How I Met Your Mother was the last one they had in the can. I have no idea about Two and a Half Men since I don't watch.

As for Soap Operas, most of them are good through at least the end of January if not mid February supposedly. In addition I have also heard a lot of rumors about Soap Opera writers crossing the picket lines.

Nope, that one about the Fiero was from last season. So I'm guessing the one from last week where Barney lost his mojo was the last one.

We are also seeing all those mid season shows that were cancelled in the last year or two - which I never liked anyways

Also 2 networks have announced more reality shows coming back AND new ones they will start showing - this may be the death knell for the reality show if we get even more over bombarded with them - only the real strong will survive (Amazing race, Survivor, Idol) otherwise we will probably see the comeback of the variety show or an expansion of the night time soap (ala Dallas, Dynasty)
