  • What Holiday Specials do you most look forward in seeing?

    Hi,

I thought it might be fun to ask the MiceChatters. What Holiday Specials do you most look forward in seeing every year on tv?

This is a muti-choice poll. You can pick as many Holiday Specials, you want.

    Thank and Enjoy!

    Hi Hayley!

We have all those, we will watch them ALL though out the month. Most of them are 30 minutes so we may watch 2 back-to-back.

Also National Lampoons Christmas vacation and a few others.

      Hello Sorcerer's Apprentice.

Cool and I didn't think about National Lampoons Christmas or non-animated Holiday specials. That's good.

Charlie Brown, Rudolph.... and the 24 hour A Christmas Story marathon!

I also love the only Opus & Bill the Cat animated special, A Wish for Wings That Work. It was finally released on DVD last month and I'm working on getting my grubby paws on a copy.

I agree when it comes to the newest ones. Mickeys once and twice upon a christmas and Olive the Other Reindeer are pretty good.

Only 2. Charlie BRown and the Grinch. I'll watch the others but don't really look forward to them.

I like to watch ME starring in My Christmas Adventure:

                      You can make your own:

I also like to watch TV sitcoms that have "christmas episodes" more than actual christmas specials.

I love the Cheers episode (where Sam needs to get Rebecca a gift), the Sanford and Son (Scrooge parody) and the Mr. Belvedere (where Wesley reunites Belvedere with an old flame for the holidays.)

No doubt about it ... it's not Christmas until I see Linus tell Charlie Brown "Lucy's right. Of all the Charlie Browns in the world, you're the Charlie Browniest."

I saw it when it was first shown back in 1965, and have seen it just about every year since.

And I'd like to give a shout out to the memory of the great jazz pianist Vince Guaraldi, who composed and conducted the scores for all the Peanuts classics, and David Benoit, who carries on the the tradition now.

There aren't many songs as magical and at the same time haunting as "Christmastime Is Here".

Gotta love "A Charlie Brown Christmas".
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

I also liked Mickey's Twice Upon A Christmas. Cute stories in that one.
