  • TV chef lies about accomplishments

The St. Petersburg Times has broken a story about Food Network personality Robert Irvine. Many of the Dinner Impossible host's claims about working for the royal family are apparently false.

The first article ran Sunday. You can find that here: http://www.sptimes.com/2008/02/17/So...d_up_his.shtml

    There's a follow up today:
    http://www.sptimes.com/2008/02/19/Southpinellas/Food_world_parses_res.shtml

A page for his show Dinner Impossible remains on foodnetwork.com however his personal bio has been removed from the site.

That "ROYALLY" sucks.....course, doesn't mean he can't cook. Just means credibility is somewhat shot to heck.

Awww man, I was hoping it was a story about Bobby Flay lying. Shucks.

This makes me really sad! I love Dinner:Impossible. It's really sad how people think that they have to inflate themselves...and even more sad when they do it and think that they won't be caught in their lies.

I love the food network but I'm not a fan of that show. Sucks getting where you are at by lying, but he does a good job cooking either way.

I saw that in the paper Sunday (for some reason they keep delivering the Sunday St Pete Times to my neighbor across the hall that moved out a month or so ago... they're not coming back for it so I take it for the ads & coupons). Sucks he got caught lying. His show on Food Network is entertaining sometimes.
