I went into Chase today and the guy noticed I had a Disney Visa Credit card and offered me this new debit card. It gives you some of the same perks as in the parks that you get with the credit card!

Again...? Didn't they cancel the Debit Card a while back?

Oh, this one doesn't have rewards points it looks like. I think that killed the other debit card when laws were passed about interchange fees on debit cards.

A poll this week showed the enormous majority of Americans do not trust banks or corporations. It figures that a hardball-playing, Wall Street-style corporation like Disney would get in bed with a despised bank like Chase, the object being to stick their collective hands in the pockets of Disney branded-lifestyle consumers... with a card pathetically disguised in pixie dust sparkles and the magic of the Disneyland castle.

I just want to remind people that this card is free just as the other Debit chase cards, it just has the Disney perks.

With Chase Bank, nothing is "free." And if folks think the lack of up-front fee means Chase Bank isn't going to have its hands grubbing in your pockets, I've got a bridge to sell you!

By free I mean its the same as getting a regular Chase Debit Card. There is no difference between the blue one and these ones, except these ones give you the Disney perks.

I think it's pathetic that the traditional Disney castle and Disney company logo are on a JP Morgan Chase card -- a banking company that just today lost a $100 million lawsuit for screwing over its customers with hidden fees and lying about it.

The consumer complaints against this company are beyond counting, as are its customer lawsuits. Even in the world of banks that rip off customers, Chase is particularly despised.

Chase's tawdry history of conning its customers says all you need to know about Chase. Disney partnering with Chase says all you need to know about Disney.
