I saw the trailer, not sure what to thinks with all the crappy Hollywood remakes that they love to release every other weekend. Now I have two remakes to fear; Carrie and now Evil Dead.

I like remakes only if they're done right like The Crazies...and well...The Crazies, what bothers me is how abundant they are. It seems like Hollywood has lost originality with horror movies,and then they have the nerve to change these movies so far from the original film. I think Carrie will actually be good, i just don't think a friggin 14 year old girl was the right choice, but they are doing scenes that were in the book and not in the movie, like the town burning and the rocks raining. I haven't seen the original evil dead but the trailer seems really cool. A little disappointed with the creature design though...they strayed a little too far from the original creature design.

hmm, no boom stick or self abusing dismembered hand. not a good start. And where the heck is Bruce! He better not just be producing it.
