  • Frozen, Inside Out Directors Set as New Bosses of Disney Animation, Pixar

Disney has announced new leadership for Disney Animation and Pixar. Variety reports Frozen director Jennifer Lee and Inside Out director Pete Docter will be replacing John Lasseter. The duo will be splitting Lasseter's duties, who'll be leaving Disney at the end of the year.
Lasseter was accused of inappropriate workplace behavior last year. He's currently working for Disney in a consulting role.
Lee will be the new chief creative officer at Walt Disney Animation Studios, while Docter will be the chief creative officer at Pixar Animation Studios.
Docter was one of Pixar’s first employees and has worked on such projects as Up and Monsters, Inc. Meanwhile, Lee first joined Disney in 2011 as a co-writer on Wreck-It Ralph.

Pete Doctor was rumored all the way back in last November, when the scandal broke out.

Jennifer Lee has become very prominent at Disney, in the last few years, but I'm surprised that she snagged a leadership role.

More to the point, Lee has become the 1st female executive to serve in a major capacity for the main animated studio*.

*Walt Disney Animation Studios(aka there main animation studios). Not to be confused with Pixar or Disneytoon Studios, which are all separate studios.
