While we are all stocked or celebrating over the news of Disney buying Lucas films; the hurricane has killed a movie legend. The HMS Bounty last known as the 'black pearl' This ship has been in a bunch of movies. Unsure if anyone has posted about this, but here's to the ship and the missing crew members.

Now claimed by davy jones locker....RIP HMS Bounty.
Little and broken, but still good.

I think the Bounty was the first tall ship I ever went on. It was at Expo 86 in Vancouver and it was open for tours. I was 7 years old at the time and I was amazed by the rigging. The Golden Hind rep;ica was there too. Sad to see her go, and this replica was a piece of Canadian history as it was built in Halifax.

That is very, very sad indeed.

There is talk of a 5th movie and when we last left the Pearl, she was miniaturized inside a bottle on the Queen Anne's Revenge. I wonder how this affects the screenwriting of the next movie?

Speculation aside, I'm very sorry to hear this happened.

Ah, you beat me to it. I've been checking some articles today and noticed it never specifically identified it as the Pearl itself. Whew. Thanks for clarifying that.
