Carrie Fisher is back for 'Star Wars: Episode VII' - Zap2it

Is Carrie Fisher officially back as Princess Leia in "Star Wars: Episode VII"? The actress herself has confirmed her involvement in the upcoming movie.

When asked by Palm Beach Illustrated if she could "confirm whether you'll reprise the role of Princess Leia" in the upcoming "Star Wars" film, Fisher simply said, "Yes." It might not be an official Disney confirmation, but it will work for now.

I hope they offer her a good role and enough money and she reconsiders.

Any word on who the next bady will be. I would love to it be that blue faced Admiral guy. Sorry not sure what his name is but I've seen pictures of him. He has red eyes and a blue face. Maybe he is some type of ice guy but he seems like a pretty cool baddy. In fact he is in Empire at War (Great Game). I also hear James Earl JOnes maybe back. I am asuming in some typy of flash back scene or maybe a a Darth Vador recording. I think what ever the new movies are about they will be good. The director they chose seems to be pretty good.

I think it's ironic & interesting they chose a guy that directed a Trek film. The only other Trek connection to SW was that Takei had a voice role on Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series in Season 1.

It can't be Grand Admiral Thrawn, sadly, because that happened only 5 years after the events of Episode VI and the actors are just a little older than that now. Unless they go the TRON: Legacy treatment and do a CGI overlay on them all. (please don't, please don't, please don't, please don't, please don't, please don't, please don't, please don't, please don't, please don't, please don't, please don't, please don't, please don't, please don't, please don't)

Looking at timelines for the expanded universe (link: Star Wars Expanded Universe - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia), and going off of how long it's been since these three were last in a Star Wars movie (30 years), I'm going to guess we'll be dealing with the Yuuzhan Vong. If that's the case, well..... *grabs camp chair and gets in line at local theater* )
