I absolutely loved this movie. I voted 5 stars. I was never really into video games but this movie was adorable! Vanellope was my absolute favorite character aside from Ralph. It is definitely a movie to watch over and over again. I can't wait until March 5 when it comes to dvd!!

I thought it was a great movie, it was just as good the second time as the first, and that is hard to do.

Re: Wreck It Ralph - a triumph! Destined for huge box office success!
Finally saw it this evening. Great movie! Really enjoyed it. I give it a very strong 4 - the only reason I didn't give it a 5 was because I felt I spent a bit too much time in Sugar Rush Land, otherwise it was one of the best animated movies this year - up there with Pirates! Band of Misfits, ParaNorman, and Brave.

Re: Wreck It Ralph - a triumph! Destined for huge box office success!
Gave it a 4.
Seemed a bit unDisney. Not Princess centric, and lots of subpar animation. I understand it was supposed to be 80's video game sytled and really like that part of the film. The non musical part was wired too. Also I felt character developement was too weak for a few scenes. It just seemed to be a whole different brand.
As far as its market preformance, it's fine. I felt a long lull in quality films, and Wreck It Ralph came out when great films started to show again. Lots of competition from SkyFall, Lincoln, Hotel Transelvania, Taken 2, and now Twilight.

Re: Wreck It Ralph - a triumph! Destined for huge box office success!
I gotta admit, I didn't love it as much as some others. I thought it was good, very good, but not great, not even 4 stars for me. It's VERY rare that I like a movie but give it less than 4 stars.
I did enjoy it, and I'm sure once we get it on Blu Ray and watch it more I will like it even more. I just wasn't emotionally involved in the movie. Parts of it felt forced to me, like it was trying too hard to get a particular emotion out of the audience.

With costs being so high.. and theatre runs being so short.. this is kind of scary for movies going forward. The cost of films or prices.. something is gonna break.
Have no fear. BRAVE has already brought in a HALF A BILLION dollars at the box office...and it was just released on Blu-ray/DVD yesterday. It's headed for a Billion easy.
Wreck It Ralph has barely opened up overseas. Once it does it's box office is gonna soar and, I believe, exceed BRAVE in Box Office results. Disney knows what it is doing. Wreck It Ralph is hardly "flatlining" as you say. It's gonna be a HUGE financial success!
And, all this is not counting toys and other merchandise that will see sales through the roof this Holiday Season.
Disney planted a little seed at the cost of $165 million...it will see returns well past a billion dollars for Wreck It Ralph.
Taint nuthin' to worry about.
As of November 12th...
Total Lifetime Grosses
Domestic: $101,011,607 79.3% + Foreign: $26,300,000 20.7% = Worldwide: $127,311,607 Remember, this thing was released on November 2nd...Production Budget: $165 million
Excellent reviews...excellent word of mouth...a triumph...headed for HUGE box office success.
