    "After only eight days of release 'Iron Man 3' has already surpassed the $300 million mark internationally and the $200 million Disney/Marvel release is only getting started.

    Driven by a $65.6 million Wednesday gross, 'Iron Man 3's international total climbed to $307.7 million. For reference, 'Iron Man 2' earned $311.5 million international TOTAL in 2010, and 'Iron Man 3' will soar right past that figure today."

    'Iron Man 3's opening weekend in 4,253 domestic theatres has captured $175.3 million and a CinemaScore of an A from exiting audiences. It's the second-biggest Friday/saturday/Sunday opening ever after Marvel's 'The Avengers' with $207.4 million.

    Internationally the film has taken in $680.1 million.

      Disney and Marvel Studios' 'Iron Man 3' today crosses the $1 billion mark at the worldwide box office.

      The film has now become the 2nd biggest superhero film of all-time right behind last summer's 'Marvel's The Avengers' with $1.5 billion. 'Iron Man 3' joins the list of top grossing films at number 11.
