  • [Review] Saving Mr. Banks

I was able to attend a screening of Saving Mr. Banks last night. What an amazing film and story! From the trailer I was a little concerned with Tom Hanks, but I totally believed he was Walt by the end of the movie. Emma Thompson was outstanding in every way possibly. I smell Oscar nomination for both of these brilliant actors. I know there has been some talk on these boards about the time period accuracy of the Disneyland section. I'm pleased to say that none of the discrepancies took away from the film for myself, and I don't believe they will for you either.

I would get into more detail, but I think it's better for you to check out this amazing movie when it hits your local theatre.

I give this film 4 1/2 stars out of 5. It has heart, history, and depth.

I saw it Monday. Good film, well made. I just didn't enjoy it as much as I was hoping. It seemed to be missing something, exactly what I don't know.

I did find that the flashbacks got a little bit too much. perhaps slowing down some of the overall narrative.

Still don't let me put anyone off. Its a good film with excellent performances all around, not just from the two main stars.
