It's the weekdays... a lot of people wait until Friday-Sunday to go since there's no school and a lot of people are off work. To my knowledge, and when I worked at a movie theater, it's always much slower during the week.

I only ever go to the movies on the weekends myself as well, since that's the only free time I have as well as the friends I go with.

weekday mean less sales. I go to movies only on weekdays, and most of the time there are only a handful of people in the theater, and about half the time I am the only one in the place... People tend to not see movies on weekdays.

It was such a good movie. I'm sure that possitive word of mouth will give Frozen some legs and it will perform well over the hoidays.
I open a toy, review it and take mediocore pictures. Read all about it HERE!

Every movie, every week drops from Sun to Mon quite significantly because of school/work. Just watch, come Fri it will jump up again (not as high as last weekend, but still pretty high) for the three nights Fri - Sun, then it will drop for Mon-Thurs again.

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter

There's also an expected and predicted drop off between opening weekend and the receipts for the next week - for a movie in wide release the level of dropoff is a fairly good predictor for how the movie will continue to do in the box office.

It'll be hard for people here in the MidWest to get to the movies thanks to the snow and ice this weekend.

Huh, what's Elsa doing there, and what's eating at her now?
